All these pictures, except for the black and white images (courtesy henri stone), were taken on film by me with a point-and-shoot. They were scanned with initial tweaking in photoshop, and further in the GIMP. All the images here are low-resolution for the web, because as noted from many sources, connection speeds from non-alaska to alaska are gheto (I suspect moose-net is implemented somewhere along the pipeline). (update: UAF now has a phat OC-12 data pipe to primary internet trunks in the continental U.S., as of fall 1999. But i hesitate to delete a usage of gheto). if you want better quality images for printing or (better) making into GIMP-art, write me, that'd be nifty.
